The excitement was high and the competition fierce as students gathered for the 11th Mengly J. Quach WordSpeed Contest at Aii Language Center, Siem Reap Campus. The challenge was simple in concept yet intense in execution: write as many words as possible in just 60 seconds based on a given topic. But behind those 60 seconds were weeks of preparation, quick thinking, and a test of vocabulary recall under pressure.
Students from various levels took part in the event, showing not only their language skills but also their ability to focus and perform under time constraints. After several rounds of fast-paced writing and careful word-checking, three outstanding students rose to the top:
🏆 Champion: Sokunbopha Sovan, from Kid 11
🥈 1st Runner-Up: Ratana Him, from GEP 11b
🥉 2nd Runner-Up: Dozana Dy, from GEP 03
Each of these students demonstrated remarkable word recall, spelling accuracy, and composure during the competition. Their achievement reflects not only their individual effort but also the support of their teachers and families.
The WordSpeed Contest continues to be one of the most anticipated academic competitions at Aii SR, as it encourages students to expand their vocabulary and sharpen their writing skills in a fun and challenging way.
Congratulations to all the participants and especially to our top three winners! We look forward to even more word warriors taking the stage in next term’s contest.
