Tomb-sweeping (Qing Ming) Day

Tomb-sweeping Day is an important traditional festival for Chinese people to remember their ancestors, regardless of the day, and there are no taboos against worshiping ancestors. Many Chinese will visit graves or temples to pay their respects to ancestors. The Qingming Festival is on April 5 this year, and tomb-sweeping activities can generally be carried out 10 days before or after the Qingming Festival. The goal is for the wanderer to return to his hometown in time. Tomb-sweeping day is a festival that, for better or worse, commemorates the ancestors. It is impossible to choose not to go out to celebrate the New Year when encountering an unlucky sign, just as it is impossible to choose not to go out to celebrate the Lunar New Year or the Mid-Autumn Festival.
