The 19th Mengly J. Quach Spelling Bee

The 19th Mengly J. Quach Spelling Bee Contest at Aii Language Center, Siem Reap Campus was a huge success! More than 170 students from Kid 05 to GEP participated in the contest, which tested their spelling skills and vocabulary knowledge. The contest was divided into three rounds, with each round increasing in difficulty and eliminating some contestants. The final round was a thrilling showdown between the top three spellers, who had to spell words such as “quintessential” and “onomatopoeia”. The winners are: Amara Oll (F), who received a trophy, medal, certificate and a 100% scholarship; Sophannarith Chhut (M), who received a medal, a certificate, and 75% scholarship; and Chhengheang Tang (F), who received a medal, a certificate and 50% scholarship. The contest was organized by Aii Language Center, with the help of the teachers, volunteers and sponsors. The contest aimed to promote literacy, learning and fun among the students. We appreciate everyone who supported the event and congratulated all the spellers for their hard work and achievement. The contest took place on August 05, 2023 at 7:30 a.m. in Mezzanine floor of Aii Language Center.
